We are looking to employ a positive, passionate and motivated Design and Science teacher to join our school for a full-time teaching position. We currently serve students at the MYP 1 and MYP 2 levels, with plans to expand further into a full 5-year MYP program. In collaboration with the MYP coordinator, you will be an integral part of building the aforementioned subjects’ units and designing meaningful curriculum that engages learners.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will:
· Have relevant teaching qualifications and proven teaching experience in an IB MYP setting.
· Have experience teaching MYP design, science, or other MYP subject.
· Possess knowledge of educational theories and the IB pedagogical framework.
· Demonstrate strong collaborative and interpersonal skills.
· Model an inquiry approach to teaching and learning.
· Have experience implementing technology into inquiry-based learning.
· Enjoy teaching and working in an internationally-minded environment.
· Be of native-level English language abilities.
· Be an EU or UK citizen (preferable but not required).
· Hold a Category 1 IB training certificate in Design (preferable but not required)
Ďalšie požiadavky
Responsibilities:
Along with fulfilling fulltime teaching requirements (max. 22 contact hours), responsibilities for this position include:
· Documenting the inquiry, action, and reflection portions of each unit on Toddle
· Maintaining subject overviews for your taught subject(s)
· Actively participating in a weekly individual collaborative planning meeting with the MYP coordinator
· Engaging in a horizontal/vertical weekly planning meeting with MYP staff
· Performing duty care as outlined by the school’s duty schedule
