Job description, responsibilities and duties:
The Cambridge International School is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Primary Assistant Teacher to join a growing, dedicated and outstanding team of educators within a highly supportive and values-driven, but ambitious and expanding international school. The role will involve support in classrooms and also break and lunchtime supervision duties.
The successful candidate will:
• Contribute to the effective implementation of individual programmes by supporting the teaching and learning experiences, which enhance the learning and development of our students
• Assist with the management of the learning environment, ensuring that any behavioural or physical occurrences are addressed promptly
• Support Teachers of SEN (Special education needs) and EAL (English as additional language) by contributing to the development of care and learning plans and contribute to the preparation of school reports and update daily records and logs.
• Support Middle and Senior Leadership by leading and reporting on targeted programmes of intervention.
• Maintain a professional relationship while developing a good rapport with our students.
• Espouse and consistently demonstrate our learning qualities and supporting values.
• Promote the common language of English through speaking this fluently and leading phonics groups.
Personality requirements and skills:
• ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with pupils, other staff and parents;
• enthusiasm for helping pupils achieve their full potential;
• patience, flexibility and adaptability are essential, together with a sense of humour;
• strong professional communication skills including excellent written and verbal communication both in English and Slovak;
• ability to command the respect of children.
